About Kithship Care

Kithship Care is founded on the belief that community connectedness is healthcare. We operate with the purpose of creating, nurturing, and expanding community connectedness and a sense of belonging for folks in southern Ontario. Here you can find opportunities to participate in community social events and 1:1 individualized peer support.

About Peer Support

Peer support is a non-clinical mental health service based on shared lived experience, where a peer supporter provides empathy, understanding, and confidentiality to the person seeking support from both personal expertise and specialized training. Peer Support has long been an accepted and celebrated concept in many cultures and communities, through different expressions, such as talking circles, sweat lodges, and consumer/survivor groups. Peer support has proven to improve self-esteem, strengthen coping skills, increase community connectedness, and overall enhance quality of life.
